Significant experience in collegiate athletics administration (or equivalent experience in a related field that reflects administrative competence and experience in the management of a diverse constituency.
Strong administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to perceive and adjust organizational strengths and strategic planning to meet the needs and objectives of the Network Conference.
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to consistently and effectively communicate with all constituents of the conference, including other conference commissioners, chairs of MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC committees, and the Superior Sports Network Board of Directors.
Demonstrated leadership and strong work ethic with energy and enthusiasm to advance the Conference.
Demonstrated marketing and promotional skills. Ability to work well with diverse groups of individuals and interest groups, and sensitivity to the philosophical differences of Division I, II and III institutions.
Knowledge and commitment to the rules and regulations of the NCAA, to gender equity, affirmative action and other institutional parameters in administering collegiate athletic program
Oversight for the League’s awards and merchandise programs, budget planning and financial reporting and general League office operations,collegiate athletic business, or comparable professional in media conference
Knowledge and familiarity with the history and tradition of the HBCU Conferences
